Meet Thomas A. Haine Thomas A. Haine was chosen by voters in the November 2020 election to serve as Madison County State's Attorney. State’s Attorney Haine is a devoted public servant, father, and fifth generation Madison County resident. He has dedicated his life to defending the constitution and protecting our families. State’s Attorney Haine served in the United States Army where he completed Air Assault School. He served four years as an Active Duty Army Captain. As Captain, he served as the primary legal counsel for commanders on both criminal and civil matters. State’s Attorney Haine prosecuted civilian criminal cases in federal court as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in Baltimore and New York. Subsequently, he served as a law clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Before being elected Madison County State's Attorney, Haine worked in private practice in Edwardsville. As Madison County State's Attorney, Haine’s priorities include: protecting our families, upholding the constitution, preserving Madison County values, and expediting the legal process. |
