Clean Communities Resources

Clean Communities Resource Program

As part of Madison County’s Building & Zoning Department, the Resource Management Program has designed new opportunities for Madison County citizens to help clean up their streets and neighborhoods. The Clean Communities program will now offer litter cleanup Tool Kits for free to any resident wanting to help keep Madison County beautiful.

Each kit will include:

(1)    Litter Grabber
(1)    Reflective Safety Vest
(1)    Pair of Gloves
(4)    33 Gallon Trash Bags

Up to six (6) Tool Kits will be available for individual households and small groups.

Up to twenty-four (24) kits will be available for larger scheduled clean-ups and organizations. Requests for larger Tool Kits will require either:

  • Specific Clean-Up Dates or Location
  • A group/organization with plans for on-going community clean-ups.

Please note: Due to backorder, grabbers are currently limited to one (1) per four (4) volunteers for larger groups.

Choose one option to request Tool Kits:

Tool Kits must be picked up from the Building & Zoning office on the second floor of the Madison County Administration Building Suite 254. 157 N. Main Street. Edwardsville, IL, 62025.

Please provide the date planned for pick up and we will have your items prepared for you.

Upon pick up, a waiver must be signed to receive supplies.

Please read through the safety tips below before your clean-up.

Madison County residents are not required to return tool kits, however, if you feel you are no longer in need of cleanup materials it is appreciated to return them to distribute to others.
