Meet the Museum Department Staff

 jon image   Jon Parkin, Superintendent Jon supervises the staff and daily operations at the Historical Museum and the Archival Library. Jon taught history at Edwardsville High School for 30 years before becoming Museum Department Superintendent. In his free time, Jon enjoys watching movies, swimming, and participating in War of 1812 reenactments.
 jenn image 2   Jenn VanBibber, Museum Curator Jenn catalogs and preserves the museum objects and designs interpretive exhibitions. She has a master's degree in Historical Administration and over 12 years of curatorial experience. In her free time, Jenn enjoys spending time with family including two rambunctious dogs, playing soccer, and coaching lacrosse.
 mary image   Mary Rose, Archival Research Manager Mary coordinates describing, preserving and providing access to archival materials. She has a master's degree in Library Science and over 20 years of experience in the field. In her free time, Mary enjoys making pottery and camping with her husband.
 carol image 2   Carol Frisse, Archival Research Assistant Carol answers research questions and digitizes archival materials. She worked in a music store and taught music lessons for 30 years before joining the County Museum Department. In her free time, Carol enjoys singing in local choirs and playing with her cat.
 figureskater   Tara Johnston, Archival Research Assistant Tara accessions and catalogs donated archival materials. She has a bachelor's degree in Historical Preservation. Tara previously worked at the Crisp Museum and interned at the National Archives in St. Louis. In her free time, Tara enjoys figure skating.
