Visually Impaired and Print Disabled Voters

If you are visually impaired or print disabled, you may request an accessible mail ballot on-line by calling 618-296-4689 or by emailing votebymail@madisoncountyil.gov.

Madison County participates in the Illinois State board of Elections’ Accessible vote by mail program.  At no cost to the County, the Illinois State Board of Elections provides a remote accessible vote-by-mail system.  This secure system will allow blind, deafblind, and some other voters with disabilities to vote-by-mail – privately and independently – just as all other Illinois voters can.

It allows voters to securely receive and mark their ballots electronically at home, instead of forcing them to rely on help from others or travel to vote at polling places.

Madison County is now offering Permanent Accessible Vote by Mail.  This option will allow you to vote by mail in all subsequent elections held in Madison County. You will still have the option to vote by mail in a single election if you choose.

You can apply for Permanent Accessible Vote by Mail using an online or paper application.
