Welcome to the Madison County Chief County Assessment Office homepage. The purpose of this page is to provide taxpayers with information about the services provided by our office. The Madison County Chief County Assessment Office is proud of the high quality of service provided by our department. Our goal is to serve the public with an expert and qualified staff.
The public is always welcome to visit the Madison County Chief County Assessment Office weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or to call us at (618) 692-6270, in order to take advantage of our services.
Our staff can answer questions regarding the calculation of property record cards and the verification of property ownership. We can assist those wishing to view or compare sales of properties throughout the county. Aerial and ink-line maps are provided to view or to purchase. Applications for all exemptions are available in the office, and our staff can provide assistance in the filling out of these forms.
The Madison County Chief County Assessment Office staff are both qualified and eager to offer our assistance in the most professional manner.
****NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING****
MADISON COUNTY FARMLAND REVIEW COMMITTEE
On Thursday June 15 2017, the Madison County Farmland Review Committee will review the 2018 proposed farmland valuation procedures and values. This Public Hearing will be held according to the Illinois Property Tax Code
35ILCS 200/10-120. The proposed farmland valuation procedures and the equalized assessed values proposed by the Department of Revenue for 2018 will be presented and discussed.
The Public Hearing will be held on June 15 2017, at 9:15 am Maedge’s Mini Mart Café located at 709 East Main Street, Alhambra IL.
